This class is available in-person, hybrid (in-person sometimes), or fully remote. In-person students will be subject to our COVID procedures.

AI

In this course, students are taught the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI) through the development of a device that will ultimately employ components such as facial recognition.

Requirements:

  • A Windows, Apple, or Chromebook PC where students are able to install and use programming software.

  • Remote or hybrid students must be able to simultaneously video conference during the class 

Cost: $750 + materials ($300)

​

Per 5-week session. No additional materials are not required for session 2 (i.e., the total materials cost is $300 for one or both sessions).

All classes include 4 hours of instruction and up to 4 hours of open lab time/office hours weekly.

5-week sessions:

  • Session 1: June 8 - July 8

  • Session 2: July 13 - August 12

​

  • 4-6th graders: Tue/Thu @ 1-3 PM CST

  • 7-8th graders: Tue/Thu @ 9-11 AM CST

  • 9-12th graders: Tue/Thu @ 3-5 PM CST

Complexity of course concepts increases with grade level.
